Fast WP Plugin Developers

I was amazed on how fast WP plugin developers can weave codes for WordPress. When Matt announced the existence of a SAJAX spell checker and asked if there is already a plugin based on that, hours later my WP admin panel’s dashboard received a feed announcing there is one already available for testing and download. That was fast. It is as if creating a plugin has become a contest for people with PHP skills and is well adept in WP’s code framework. Or maybe WordPress plugin developer are just too good at it.

On the other hand, there are people who just release code without thorough testing. I see myself as one these people and I admit to being guilty of committing the mistake of releasing untested code. As I said before, most of the plugins were created because their author needed/wanted a feature not currently found in the available plugins. And mostly, these codes usually worked for the author/coder. But because it was not tested on platform/machine/setup different from his, errors and bugs begin to come out. Luckily for the WordPress users, they have a great community that is active in helping users and troubleshooting the plugins into perfection.
