I had a game with my daughter last night. We played a word game wherein we chooses a letter. We then alternately give a word that starts with the chosen letter. Sometimes the four year old girl runs out of words. I try to help her by giving her clues.
At one point, I gave her a clue. We are in letter S. I told her “What is it that begins with S and I put in my coffee?”. I was expecting her to say “Sugar”. Instead, she blurted out SPOON!!! My wife and I let out a big laugh. My daughter then asked me if her answer was wrong. Of course she was right. I use spoon with my coffee.
Children’s brilliance amazes me. Their innocent answers to a simple can be delightful.
