The Godlewski sisters who are seem to be having fun while on the race wins the first leg of Amazing Race 8: Family Edition. They were the first to check in the leg’s pit stop. They got a $20,000 bonus for winning the leg. The rumored gambling sites favorite Linz family landed ninth just ahead of the eliminated Black family.
The $20,000 bonus that the Godlewski sisters got can be a big help in the next legs. Previous seasons of Amazing Race shows that having more money to spend makes racing a bit easier - taxis, anyone. It does not assure winning the race, though. During the Amazing Race 7, Rob and Amber lost the $1 million prize money to Uchenna and Joyce.
