I received my nursing pin, swore my oath and sang the class song yesterday. It was Batch 2007′s capping and candlelighting ceremony. A semi major event in nursing school signifying the candidates heightened obligation to the nursing profession.
I would like to congratulate Rowena, Kristel, Patty, and Monic for reaching this far. These guys are the closest to me inside the classroom. I have sought help from them in more ways than they had mine. Rowena for the photocopies of next topics, Patty for the gossips, Monic for sharing her food with me most of the time, and Kristel for the laughs in our seats.
In our group, I can say Rowena really deserved to be capped. She had displayed her nursing skills in actual practice in our hospital duty and in theoretical aspects of nursing in room discussions. Of all nursing students, she is the only one I know who took up the course without really planning to immigrate abroad. Her dream? To become a clinical instructor.
As for me, I don’t know. I change mind as often as I change the theme of this site. I have always felt I am in a wrong environment. I can learn a new programming language and create a simple yet functional program in a week but I cannot memorize all the drug, its actions, side and adverse effects. Oh well…
