Who would’ve thought that the Aiello family will be the one to be eliminated in the Leg 3 of The Amazing Race 8: Family Edition. Not me. I had rooted for the Paolo family to be eliminated since day 1. Wrong decision and lack of will to win cost the Aiello family this race.
The Aiello family who are all males is one the stronger team in the race but deciding to stick it out with the jeep in the mud was a big mistake. Trying it 16 times is a bigger mistake. And not fighting for a number in the Space Center was their biggest mistake of all. They seem not interested in winning.
Once again, Carissa Gaghan proved to be the smart one over at the Gaghan family camp. I heard her say something like “…should drive at 120mph to float over the mud…”. I’m not sure about the exact words but it’s close. The Gaghans had the Aiello’s mouth drop when they completed the roadblock with 1 try.
The Bransens won this leg of the race. They and the others who decided to do the shrimp rode the first bus to the secret location which is the Space Center.
