Max is 5

Seems like it was only yesterday that she brought light to my life. Now she is 5 years old. Five big years had passed. My baby is fast becoming every father’s worst nightmare: becoming a young lady.

She woke up earlier than usual today and then went for an early morning walk with her younger sister. Upon coming home, she was greeted with a big birthday present by her mom. Kids love gifts. Especially if it’s big.

She celebrated her birthday earlier today with her classmates in school. She’s in preschool. She treated the whole class to a spaghetti and cheese waffles snack. And oh, she blew her cake in class. Thanks to her three teachers who allowed her to celebrate her party in class. Extended family members went swimming earlier this evening during another party for her.

Sideblog works for WP2.0

Sideblog plugin was tested to be compatible for the next WordPress version 2.0. I didn’t know who did the testing and submission but I’m glad somebody did.

KG Archives is not included in the compatible list. I will be testing KG Archives for WP2.0 in the coming days and hope it does pass the compatibility test. I am yet to download WP2.0.

I am in the process of finalizing my post ordering plugin for wordpress that allow users to control how they want their post ordered. Not merely ascending or descending. They decide which post comes before and after which.

Sassy Lawyer on Reader’s Digest

A pinoy celebrity blogger Sassy Lawyer was mentioned in Reader’s Digest. I’m sure what month it was, though. I just happen to read it during a visit to my aunt’s house. I guess it was on the November issue.

Broken Notebook

I found out 2 weeks ago that my notebook is broken. One of my kids spilled fruit juice on my notebook. That explained why it feel sticky when I opened it. At first I thought a virus or something hit my Windows machine.

Total damage caused by a Php 5.00 fruit juice? Php 6,000 big bucks. The keyboard has to be replaced by an assembly to arrive 30 to 45 days after I placed the order in a local shop. Thank goodness I found a shop that can repair it.

This came just in time when I have a web design project coming in. Funny thing though. I’m not mad when my notebook was broken by my kid. Now I know why parents are so forgiving of their children. I could’ve react differently if it was other people who did it.

Amazing Race 8: Leg 7

Paolo family is eliminated. The “garbage man” from bronx and his family is finally out of the race. I now no favorite team in the race.

Leg 7 of the Amazing Race 8: Family Edition is actually 2 legs in one episode. The first leg was a non-elimination which saved the Bransens’ “asses”. And thanks to the Paolos, they didn’t lose all their possessions. And thanks to the girls, they easily gathered funds quickly.

It’s on the second leg of the episode 7 (leg 7) that the Paolo family got eliminated. They should have exerted more effort knowing that the previous leg as a non-elimination round. Just what I’ve said on one of my first post on about this race, the Paolos have no sense of direction. That showed when they struggled on a detour. But then again this is a race that doesn’t only depends on strength but also on wits.

Now Mama Paolo can have her leg rest.

I’m human after all

For family and friends who stopped by my abode in web to check about my latest stupidity, I’m sorry to say my story will be only be mine. I’ll suffer the consequences.

I have nothing to explain. What was done is done. The only thing that can be done now is to fix what’s broken. And I thought I need help from friends. But no. I’ll do this alone as what I’ve always done in the past. For those who understand and believed, I thank you. But please bear in mind, there are always two sides to every story.

Love of Coffee

Well, I love my coffee. Hardly a single day that she don’t spend quality time with it. She never failed to greet me every morning. She even try to keep me company on my break time.

My coffee knows me more than people do. Problems are given some thought over a cup of her. Best of all she never reveals them. She keeps my secrets well.

Feeling bad, my coffee soothes me. She makes me feel better. She doesn’t give advice though. But she encourages me to think and find answers myself.

Money Laundering How-To

Money laundering isn’t all that hard. You can clean dirty money just as quickly as banks (do they?). If you have wads of cash from your dirty activities and wish to have them cleaned before giving them away or spending them, just follow the steps below. Hell, you can even wash those in public. Just be sure to have trusted people help you watch over them.

For instance, you got home with lots of dirty money from selling fish or poultry in the wet market. You wanted them cleaned but hated to go to the bank to have them changed into crisp new bills. Do this:

  • Drop the bills in the washing machine.
  • Choose a mild detergent. No bleach please.
  • Press start.
  • Spin and hang to dry.
  • Iron bills underneath a cloth.
  • Spend like crazy.

Oh, if by any means you’re here for steps to launder money from illegal means, run for congress. You’ll have more luck there.
