I trust my PC to be trojan/virus/worm free but you can never be sure. It’s a darwinian world. People evolve as do these virus writers. As reported, Kama Sutra Worm is about to unleashed its payload in less than 24 hours. Back up plan include moving files with .doc, .pdf and .zip into an optical media. This way they are detached from the PC and will be safe for the moment. I don’t have much of the first two but I have lots of .zip files.
By the way, judging from the number of searches for “Kama Sutra Worm” in search engines, there must be panics going on. There are even fake emails going around touting to be from F-Secure but is carrying yet another worm/virus. What’s happening? Are we having virus weekend madness?
