Learning Java, again

I am thinking of taking up Java lessons again. It’s been quite a while since I last code in Java. Now that I’m deep into web development, why not take J2EE and hope to get a higher paying Java jobs in the near future. It’s only that Sun’s web development technology has so many acronyms that makes my head ache figuring them out. I miss those time when JSP was pretty young that I can whip up a webapp in a week with no much hassle. Now, I have to go through gazillions of xml files just to print “Hello World”. Oh well.

As I’ve said earlier, there’s so many technology under Java that I have a hard time choosing which path to follow. There’s a decision to be made. For now, it’s Struts or Spring or JSF? Ahhhh… I might as well try each one and see which one fits me.

Or I can be a SEO. Just a little more time and a couple more experiments, I’ll get a hang out of SEOing sites. But then, again, the programmer in me says I gotta wield codes.

Good for you… :-) In depth knowledge of servlets and jsp is a must if you want to go into Java web stuff. Then, study frameworks… i.e. Struts.
