I was having a conversation the other day with Max, my eldest daughter.
Max: Where do you work, papa?
Me: Here at home
Max: You’re not going to office like mama?
Me: No, I work there (pointing to my laptop)
Max: On your computer?
Me: In the internet, yes. Am I a cool dad or what?
Max: Nah, you need to have a cap and wear them backwards
Me: (Picks up the nearest cap I have left and wears it backwards) So, now I’m cool
Max: (laughs)
She’s turning six next month. Isn’t it amazing how kids her age already have notions of what’s cool and what’s not. Probably got it from Nickelodeon or Disney Channel.
She likes to watercolor. She make it a point to ask for a watercolor set everytime we are in a toy store. Well, other than Barbie and My Little Pony. She can be lost in her world drawing and painting all morning.
