My Hostmonster Story
When I decided to get another domain as my gift to self I went to look for a good web host. I already have a couple of sites hosted with my current host and since I’m constantly adding sites to my list of online properties, I have to look for ways to cut down on hosting cost. Yeah. I’m cheap. Well, these sites I own does not really attract that much traffic so I don’t worry about performance issues. A shared hosting is fine with me.
I found out about hostmonster through my boss. His blog attracts more visitors than mine, I believe , because he is well known in his niche. He had his blog moved to hostmonster a few months ago. First time I visited Hostmonster I didn’t believe how they can offer 50 GB and 999 GB of traffic for, at that time, $9.95. So I waited and see if my boss will have some sort of hosting trouble. To this date, no complains from him.
I’m only with hostmonster for less than a week. So far I’m ok. If everything is good with them, I’ll be transferring my other sites to them. 50 GB is more than I need at the moment. I can host my other friends and relatives sites.

Hahaha. No problem. I’m always on the lookout for a good deal. I’ve looked at hostgators offerings and for plain webhosting hostmonster beats them. Now if we’re talking about reselling, go with hostgator.

What’s happened with hostmonster story. Any review after long time?

I have a handful of sites currently hosted in hostmonster. Though they’re not perfect (don’t buy based on 99.99% uptime claims), I’m pretty happy with the service. In fact, I received a very good news from them a week ago that they will be upgrading their Ruby on Rails version to 2.+. That alone is hard to beat among shared host.
