@det:
Yes, but you should paste the embed code in the “Code” mode of the editor. It’ll show the video thumbnail in the sidebar.

Cannot use string offset as an array in /home/ronnypries/sites/ronnypries.de/html/wp-content/plugins/sideblog/sideblog.php on line 294
Got above error message after upgrading to wp2.5 and sideblog 5.1 when attempting to get to its options. Any ideas?

I just upgraded a website to WP 2.5 and all my posts & pages disappeared. I mean, they wouldn’t even show up in the admin. (They were in the little headers — 11 pages published, 2 drafts — but below that it would say “No pages found.”)
After some trial and error, it was the sideblog plugin v. 3.8 that was the culprit. I hadn’t kept up with your updates, obviously. Deactivating that plugin brought my site back.
So I’m glad to see that there’s a 2.5 compatible version available! Do you plan to list it on the Codex page of 2.5 compatible plugins?

It is still not working on my sidebar, it shows an error of:
Aside category not selected. Please provide a category slug if you’re using non-dynamic sidebar.

I use and like the aside plugin, but how do I get rid of the – and # characters at the end of the post?

Sorry, found it already under options

In 2.6 bleeding, it works except that markdown isn’t working for some strange reason I can’t figure out.

This is a great plugin, but is there a way to get the line breaks out?
I can’t figure out how to reformat it — In the options panel, I have %permalink% %content% but, as you can see by viewing my site, it doesn’t actually look like that.

Great Plugin!
But one problem left
My Blog didn’t work with widgets, so I copy the lines () in my sidebar, but I would like to hide the sideblog on some pages.
Who does it works?
Thank you for every help!

Sideblog 5.1 is causing some posts in categories with subcategories being listed twice when categories are viewed. It isn’t consist; some categories have this quirk while others don’t. Apparently Sideblog had this problem a year ago and the problem seems to have returned with version 5.1. I reverted to Sideblog 4.5 and things seem to be fine.

Hi – the upgrade to WP2.5 and sideblog 5.1 worked well for me.
Only thing – I too would like to get rid of the line breaks between the content and the permalink. Is this possible?
+ In a future release, it would be good to be able to add a tag for ‘author’ or ‘nickname’

For a multi-author blog like mine, Marcus’ request is really important. Is it possible for a quick release with that capability?

@polites, marcus:
good idea. thanks. I’ll see if I can spare a day in a weekend.

Kate,
That would be great, thanks!

Hi there,
I was wondering if you know why the language switcher plug-in from http://www.poplarware.com/languageplugin.html isn’t working in tandem with your widget. They have something about the filters necessary to make the plug-in work with widgets.
If you could help me on this I would be greatful!
thanks again for this great plug-in.

I love this plugin, but still use WP 2.3. Is this the reason my SB Posts widget doesn’t work? I’m using Sideblog 5.1, btw. Thanks!
